SPECIAL EVENTS

Join us in service at 5K Walk/ Runs, Neighborhood Festivals, Car Shows, and more throughout the year! Other benefiting charities include:

  • Friends of Downers Grove Township Seniors
  • Loaves and Fishes - Naperville
  • Naper Settlement Historical Society - Naperville
  • People's Resource Center - Westmont
  • Ronald McDonald House -Loyola Univ Medical Ctr.
  • VA Fisher House - Hines, IL



   DRNCnfp volunteers provide an average of 3-6 hours once or twice a month serving numerous communities through food pantries, homeless sites and charity fundraisers.  Activities and events are only on weekends.

     Volunteer office staff donate between 5-20 hours a week.

     More than 4,700 hours of service was provided to DRNCnfp and our affiliates, translating into $119,000 of donated time. This is a 75% increase from 2015.
UNPAID YOUTH INTERNSHIPS
(AGES 17 - 21)


     Interns will work with DRNCnfp Program Manager or designee to develop strong connections between DRNCnfp and the youth community at large. He/She will help with the youth volunteer recruitment process through personal contacts and social media.This position requires approximately 10-15 hours per month (February - April, May-August, or September - December). High school seniors or college students can earn community service hours for class credits. Assist at food pantries, clothes closets, neighborhood festivals, summer concerts, help with team recruitment, attend team planning meetings, meet lots of new people and most of all... make a difference in the community.

COMMITTEES

Scholarship Awards Program - Promote the Community Service Scholarship Program, solicit and review applications, award scholarships.

Fundraising - Plan, organize and produce three annual fundraising events. Invite sponsors to support through cash or in-kind donations.

Public Relations / Marketing - Assist social media volunteers in developing and placing posts for general awareness and special campaigns

Youth Volunteer Recruitment - recruit youth for seasonal special events April through October.

Holiday Giving - Work with affiliates to identify local families to adopt and help deliver wish list items.
